Baptism is the first and most important sacrament in the Catholic Church. Through Baptism, we are freed of sin and reborn as children of God. This marks the beginning of our life of faith and by being baptised, we are welcomed into God’s family - we begin the journey of getting to know and understand the meaning of God’s love.

8 - 17 years old

Through the children's Sacramental Program, which includes Holy Communion and Reconciliation. For children not baptised, this sacrament will also be provided in order that they ‘catch up' with the rest of the group. Baptism is therefore celebrated early in the course.

Adults 18 years +

Are you interested in becoming Catholic? The process for becoming Catholic is called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), which is our formation process for adults who:

Have never been baptised.
Catholics who were baptised but have not celebrated all of their Sacraments of Initiation (Eucharist and Confirmation).
Those baptised in another Christian faith tradition who may be interested in becoming a Catholic.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults generally starts in September each year.
