The Greeters role is to welcome our community as they arrive for Mass, which includes handing out the bulletin.
The Commentators role is to welcome everyone at the start of Mass formally, and proclaim the Prayers of the Faithful during Mass.
Ushers are the welcoming faces that provide orderly and efficient assistance during the Mass. They ensure all walkways inside the church are clear in case of emergency and assist people to their seats in large liturgical celebrations.
Lectors proclaim the Word of God at Mass so as to bring alive the scriptures in the hearts of the faithful gathered. Training is required and provided periodically.
During the Liturgy of the Eucharist, the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the priest and deacon in distributing Holy Communion. It is a blessing to serve each member of the parish family through the Eucharist. These ministers can also bring the sacrament to those who are sick and homebound. In this way, those who are unable to participate in Sunday Mass. Training is required and provided periodically.
Serving at the Altar of Our Lord is an honour and a great opportunity for the youth to encounter the Mass. The Altar Server ministry is open to those who have received their First Holy communion. Training is required and is provided periodically.
